Fabulous Fabric Tape

I have EVERY kind of tape you can imagine!  Not kidding. Boxes and boxes of it and when washi tape became popular I went NUTS. When going through my tape the other day I realized there was one tape I didn't have and that was fabric tape....so I made some with my Xyron Creative Station. If you ever need to tape something together, come on over....I've got your back!  Check out how I made it in the video below and don't forget to MAKE YOUR MARK!

Love the way this looks on practically everything!
My Xyron Creative Station turns anything into a sticker...even fabric!
I used smaller pieces in my art journals.

I save everything...envelopes, newspaper, cardboard tubes, plastic & glass containers and burned out light bulbs. I boarder on hoarder BUT I do try to use everything I save in my craft projects.  These pears were my desperate attempt to use up a few of the bulbs I have been saving over the years and I'm so happy with they way they turned out.  When I was finished I thought of 100 other ways to decorate them, but that's for another day.  Upcycle, recycle and reuse as much as you can my awesome friends!  Now get out there and Make Your Mark!  xo
I used decorative paper but book pages would look beautiful, too!
Some of my decorative papers
The foil helps smooth out the screw thread area but it's not 100% necessary!

Watch how I make them here!  I used a Xyron Creative Station which turns everything into a sticker, but regular white glue would work, too.  I find my Xyron makes it easier and less messy!
Aren't we a pear!  Love you all!
Mark

Fancy Canister DIY - Upcycled Jar Makeover

The rule in my house is give everything gets 2nd life!  Jars, cans, newspaper, cardboard & plastic containers never end up in the garbage UNLESS they truly can't be repurposed.  I have tons of these Nescafe instant coffee jars and they are my absolute favorite to makeover.  A little tissue paper for color and some images printed on your computer will give you an amazing set of mini canisters to show off in your space.   Currently these are on my kitchen counter waiting to be filled, but I have a feeling they'll end up in my craft house.  Rescue those craft supplies headed for the garbage bin and you'll never be bored, my sweet friends!  Oh, and always Make Your Mark!
Love these so much!
Big plastic beads make the perfect knobs!

Hot glue is malleable so you can easily shape it to the curve or bend of a jar!

Nature Art Journal

There is inspiration EVERYWHERE if you just look for it.  Lately, like many of you, I've been spending a lot of time in my backyard.  I practically live out there!  Since I live in Los Angeles, I have things constantly blooming in my yard so I decided to use nature as my jumping point for this art journal.  Pressed leaves and flowers and vintage botanical prints always look wonderful in a journal so I gathered up a bunch of those to start.  I also wrote out some of my favorite nature quotes to get me going. Hey, whatever you have to do to stay creative and positive, right?  Create something today, my sweet friends, and always Make Your Mark!
Rubber stamps & embossed tissue paper are always fun in a journal!

Stained Glass with Plastic Folders

When I lived in the east village of NYC, my neighbor and I had windows about 3 feet apart.  We could clearly see everything in each other's apartments!  Since I wanted as much light as possible, I opted for a version of this faux stained glass which let in the light but allowed me to run around free and easy!  For this project I used my Xyron Creative Station which saved me quite a bit of time.  I also used plastic office folders which came in a stack of 40 for about $13 bucks.  So much less than a real stained glass window, right?!  I love that something as simple as an office folder can have another creative use.  Give things another life, sweet friends, and don't forget to
Make Your Mark!
