Happy 4th Possums! Terrific DIY's to share today.......

As you may know, every Thursday I like to share some of my favorite links from around the web with you.  There is so much "noise" out there, it's hard to find good projects on a regular basis, but I've done it!  Each week I'm bringing you my picks from crafters/artists who consistently share something new and wonderful on a regular basis.  Follow them for a never ending supply of inspiration.  Here you go!
Up first, my besty Margot Potter creates the perfect patriotic tank top with her Silhouette Cameo! Happy 4th Margot!
Cathie Filian from Handmade Happy Hour gives us a bit of the southwest (ooh, great name for a kid!) made with her Mod Podge Melts. I have to get my hands on some of these! http://handmadehappyhour.com/2013/05/10/diy-southwest-turquoise-necklace/
Kathy (aka Crafty Chica) makes this beautiful resin top table which would have looked perfect in my family’s restaurant! I love this table!
Jaderbomb from Jaderbomb.com shares her paper beaded bracelet which is super easy to make and might just be the way to get the kids away from the video games for a spell! http://jaderbomb.com/2013/07/02/paper-bead-bracelet/
Heather at DollarStoreCrafts.com wows today with plastic animal drinking cups. OMG these are so clever and cute. I am kind of freaking out a bit!
Make sure to check out how to make my PARTY IN A BOX with stuff I know you have cluttering up your craft space! Make one and send it to me, OK!

Dolce and Gabbana inspired thrift store blazer

I love the Fall 2012 Dolce & Gabbana collection. I decided to use it as inspiration for a thrift store blazer just to see if I could come up with something that every day fashionistas could afford.  Here's what we came up with.  Hope you like it!
Dolce and Gabbana Collection Fall 2012
From runway to real way!
This is what I made!
Here's the how to video
You'll need:
Hot glue and glue sticks
Gold lace and gold beaded trims
Straight pins
Thrift store blazer

Pick your trims and figure out where you want them.  Stick with the princess line on the jacket so that it's more slimming.  Cut them to size and experiment with the placement.
Using straight pins, place your trim in place and see how it looks.
Don't forget to add some trim around the lapel!
Using small dabs of hot glue (ON THE TRIM) stick the trim to the blazer.

Cut small holes in the lace to allow for the buttons on the sleeve and then glue the trim to the end of the sleeves!
Olivia trying on the final project!
Now get out there and rock that runway!
Enter to win everything you need to make this project!
Subscribe to The Stylish and leave a comment on the video!
Good luck!

Dollar Store Pendant Lamp.....

Head to the dollar store and grab two matching colorful bowls (almost any style will work) and you're half way there to creating this beautiful hanging pendant lamp!
For this project I used an eco friendly bulb and insist that you do the same. Regular bulbs give off too much heat and WILL melt the plastic where eco friendly bulbs are perfect for this kind of project.
Also, here is a link to a good cord and socket set!
Here's the how-to video.
Use any kind of bowl.
Here's what you'll need
