Nature Diorama DIY

One of my favorite things to do on a day off in NYC was to get lost in the Museum of Natural History.  Huge, dark rooms filled with gigantic dioramas that made you feel that if you could just get to the other side of the glass you could actually travel back in time. Every detail recreated perfectly and beautifully.  My absolute favorite part of the museum is the North American Bird Hall which opened in 1902 and features more than 30 dioramas.  It was these dioramas that inspired this project.
