JUST GLOVELY!

Not sure if you know this (probably) but I really dig the 99c store.  When I used to ride a motorcycle (ok, scooter) I had about 50 pairs of knit gloves in the seat storage because my hands were always cold.   Plus, it's just a good idea to wear gloves when you ride.  In THE BIG ASS BOOK OF CRAFTS 2 I used those 99c store gloves for an entire chapter and this project is one of them.  Just because your knit gloves cost 99c, doesn't mean they can't look like that cost a fortune, right?!
Here's what we're making!
Here's the how-to video (You're gonna luv it!)
Here's what you'll need:
Sewing machine
Matching thread
99c store knit gloves
Matching fabric (I used wool)
Scissors
Iron
Cut 2 pieces of fabric 12" x 18"
Fold one in half (matching the 12" edges) and stitch across it using 1/2" seam allowance
Fold it in half and press
Insert the glove matching the raw edges of the folded fabric to the cuff of the knit glove
Stretch the glove and stitch the cuff of the glove to the edge of your fabric

Turn right side out and repeat!
Love them!

Cardboard Christmas Balls DIY!

Do you have some cardboard boxes hanging around that need a little overhaul?  Of course you do!  Trace out some circles and grab your craft stash and let's get started making some Christmas Balls.
Blue and gold is my favorite holiday color combination.  My mom was always trying to stay away from traditional colors in our holiday decorating with the exception of one year she lost her mind and decided  EVERY color would have to do.
Here's the how-to video
You'll need:
Scissors
Straight pins
Cardboard
Large cup
Thin ribbon
2" thick ribbon
Gold spray paint
Glitter
Elmer's glue
Trace 6 circles per ornament
Cut 5 of them exactly in half
Glue one half to the center of the full circle using hot glue
Glue two more 1/2 circles on each side of the 1st half
 So it looks like this
Repeat on the other side
Spray paint the entire ball with the gold spray paint
When dry, glue along the edges and dip in glitter

Let dry for about 25 minutes
Tie a bow with the large ribbon and a loop with the small ribbon and secure it to the ornament with a long straight pin
Here you go!

Then when dry, all you have to do is fringe!
Bend the wire in a loop and you're done.
Using Elmer's glue, adhere printed out images to the back of 99c store glass plates.

5 Videos to help you REVAMP your wardrobe!

Need a little wardrobe boost and you're short on cash?  Here are 5 videos (that you can watch right here!) that will help upstyle a few things that you already have in your closet!  Revamp your t-shirts and transform an old blazer into something you're going to love wearing.  Enjoy! Oh, and make sure to share your versions with me. I'd love to see what you're up to.
How to turn a long sleeve tee into a scarf neck cardigan.  All you need is 1 yard of knit and a long sleeve tee and this will be a wardrobe staple.  I wear mine to the movies.
You only need 1/2 yard of knit to make a cowl neck tee and 1 1/2 yards of knit for the dress.  This project takes no time at all.
Have a few polos hanging around that need some sprucing up?  This is great for kids and adults!  Go nutty with the fabric and you'll have something amazing!
This jacket restyle will make you look like you just stepped off the Milan runway!  All you need is some hot glue and gold trim and a thrift store blazer.  Hot glue works like an iron on patch when used with fabric so go to town.
There are tons of possibilities for this jacket....Use leather or different colors. Either way, Military Style is in this fall and you're going to look smashing!

Military Jacket DIY.......Sew easy!

I love the military style.  Maybe it's the epaulettes or the gold bouillon
or all of the super cool patches, I don't know.  All I know is that uniforms have always fascinated me.  This jacket can be made in tons of different ways.  For example you could use leather instead of vinyl or you could use less plackets down the front.  It's up to you.  Any way you tackle this project I'm positive you can make it amazing!  How do I know this you wonder?  Because my fans are truly talented!  Have fun and make sure to share with me when you're done, ok!
