Glitter Filled Heart Shaped Rings and Knobs

I've had this silicone heart mold in my art cabinet for a while now and finally decided I needed to use it for something.  Danielle, my assistant, suggested that we fill them with resin to make rings and knobs and that's just what we did!  We filled out hearts with everything from glitter and confetti to micro glass and perler beads.  So much fun!  We used my favorite 2 part epoxy (resin) product, Famowood Glaze Coat and ended up with amazing results.

Wear 2 or 3 at at time!

YOU'LL NEED
Screws and nuts
Buttons, glitter, beads and Confetti
Craft knife
Cardboard
Plastic cups
Silicone mold
Cut your cardboard in squares
Cut out section of the cardboard so you can slip on the hose clamp just under the screw
*Make sure it's secure
Cut small holes in the center of the cardboard squares for the screws
Mix equal parts of the Glaze Coat for 5 minutes
Pour 1/4" in each mold
Fill with your glitter, buttons and confetti
Pour the Glaze Coat almost to the top of the mold, but not quite
If you notice bubbles, blow on top of the filled hearts until they pop
Carefully position the head of the screw inside a Glaze Coat filled heart
Position the screw part of the hose clamp inside the heart
Make sure the cardboard does not touch the Glaze Coat
Let dry overnight OUTSIDE under a cardboard box or in part of the house you're not occupying

Mermaid Cuffs DIY

I grew up in Colorado with a bathroom that was decorated in seashells.  My mom was obsessed with them.  It wasn't until I was 19 years old that I actually saw an ocean, but even before then I loved anything and everything about living on the coast. Even if you live miles away from the ocean, these cuffs are perfect accessory to wear with your favorite summer outfit.  Dressed up with a fancy dress or down with a t-shirt, you'll feel like the beach is just down the street.
