Wearing your heart on your SHOES!

First of all, my favorite holiday is Valentine's Day. Whether I have a loved one (or not) I love the colors, the hearts and the meaning behind it.  Besides, it's just a good excuse to drink champagne and each chocolates.  My kind of holiday!  These heels remind me of Bettie Page and the Rockabilly scene.  I can see tons of my fashionable friends wearing them with tight polka dot dresses and cardigan sets.  Gotta say, they were really easy to make, too!  My secret ingredient for making a project like this last forever.....Minwax Clear Aerosol Lacquer.  It's the bomb for vinyl and leather projects.
Love the way these turned out!
Here's the how-to video

 YOU'LL NEED
Glue gun
Scissors
Clip-on earring flats
1/2" to 1" wide grosgrain ribbon
White or light color heels (or flats)
Lightly draw dots where you want your hearts.   Practice on paper first!
Carefully "paint" on your hearts with your pen making sure not to smudge.
When they're dry, coat them with Minwax Clear Aerosol Lacquer and let dry.

Cut four 8" long pieces of ribbon and two 4" pieces for the shoe clips.
Glue the 8" long pieces in bows with the hot glue gun.
Take the 4" piece and glue it around the criss crossed bows.

With E-6000, glue on the back side of the clip on earring to the back of your bow
and let dry for 45 minutes.
You're done!
