I am always interested in how other artists live. This is the home of Ena de Silva from Sri Lanka. She has covered every single space with inspiration. She loves Gustav Klimpt and mixing pattern on pattern (just like me). I find her home just fantastic.
The painted doors and cabinets are graphic and wonderful. Doesn't it want to make you take some basic Ikea furniture and go nutty all over it?
People's personal shrines are always fascinating to me. Huge paper flowers on striped table cloths with candles. The table cloth reminds me of quilts made by the women of Gee's Bend. Notice the target cushion seat.
This door is covered in green felt. But just to get a taste of what Ena has done, wouldn't it be fun to cover one of your doors with some fantastic fabric that matched your bedding and walls?
